An interactive web explorer for visualizing the intensity of urban heat island (UHI) effect for all urban areas globally. Values express the average surface temperature, relative to temperatures outside of the urban area. The data are available for the years 2003 to 2018.
How to access:
The data are viewable via a Google Earth Engine web explorer. To download the yearly raster data (TIFF), select the urban area of interest, scroll to the bottom of the info panel, and select “Export yearly images for urban cluster.”
